	Crittenden Estate Pinocchio 2009 Sangiovese The distinguishing character of Sangiovese, in our view at least, is that of savouriness followed by bitter (morello) cherries - traits which are more than abundant in our 2008 Pinocchio version. There is no “sweetness” on the mid palate such as you might expect from Pinot Noir. The finish is admirably long and tart with that refreshing spine of acidity and firm drying tannins. Goes so well with many Italian dishes. Price : $25.00

	Crittenden Estate Pinocchio 2008 Rosato Rose must be one of the great success stories of the last decade; and why not?! It is one of the most versatile and enjoyable styles around, offering as it does a great compliment to Asian dishes or just a refreshing drink on a hot summer's day. The barrel fermentation and extended aging of this wine on gross lees has added a textural complexity that is rarely seen in Rose style wines. Adding to this is a lively core of berry fruit and clean vibrant acidity that is mainly attributable to the use of premium Sangiovese fruit for the wine's production. Price : $21.50

	Crittenden Estate Pinocchio 2010 Moscato I have long been a fan of the wonderful wines from Italy known as Moscato D'Asti. They are intriguing for their beguiling nose of lychees and ginger, the delicious frizzante (fizz) they carry and the refreshing spine of acidity that cuts through the sweetness of the unfermented grape sugar. This, our sixth attempt, seems quite credible to us; a fair copy one could say. It can be enjoyed with dessert, a number of cheeses, particularly dolce latte and piccante Gorgonzola as well as pastries and brioches. Price : $23.00

	Crittenden Estate Pinocchio 2006 Dolcetto The aromas in this Dolcetto are quite beguiling and remind me of damson plums and cherries with a touch of aniseed. The palate is long and racy with a cleansing acidity; all in all a very refreshing wine. Enjoy in moderation with lots of different pasta styles. Price : $21.50
