Stillwater at Crittenden
In 2004 husband and wife team Zac and Jacqui Poulier took possession of the cafe at Crittenden Estate, originally owned and operated by Margaret, and turned it into a fine dining a la carte restaurant that specialises in events and weddings. The couple extensively renovated and updated the original buildings and the resultant ambience is stylish and modern yet relaxed. Zac takes on the role of Executive chef whilst Jacqui runs front of house.
Their philosophy on food is evident in the use of top quality ingredients. With a focus on free range and local produce as well as interesting items from both Australia and abroad, the menu at Stillwater changes with the availability of season and chefs inspiration.
An extensive wine list not only showcases the estates wines but includes other varietals and interesting selections from other wine regions.
Views from the dining room and decking overlook the vineyard, lake and beautifully kept lawns and gardens. It is this aspect, combined with the professional manner of the staff, that has earned Stillwater accolades not only for a la carte dining but for their events and in particular weddings.
